The Council of Gloucestershire Churches Together seeks to foster co-operation between the Churches in its area and works to
- Support and develop local ecumenical activity of all kinds
- Oversee the Local Ecumenical Partnerships, acting as Sponsoring Body
- Promote the Christian faith in all its aspects
- Facilitate joint action on matters of common concern
- Maintain communication with national and international ecumenical bodies
